Government

Pure IP has been working with UK and overseas government departments since 2005 providing bespoke voice and data solutions. These solutions have brought significant cost savings while reducing the reliance on ageing infrastructure in locations such as Gibraltar,Iraq or South Africa.

The following are some examples of the projects we have undertaken

Pure-IP deploy WiFi and satellite network in basra for MOD

In February 2007 Pure IP was approached by HQ MND (SE) at the Coalition Operations Base at Basra International Airport, and asked to provide a voice and data solution which would deliver high speed internet and voice connections to any point on the airport without any reliance on its poor copper infrastructure.

Our response to this request was to design and install a local WiMax[1] network with Satellite connectivity for voice and internet which was capable of delivering services to the base. The network grew over the period and was still functioning until July 2009 when the coalition troops left Basra International Airport.

The distributed IP architecture used allows the networks to be reconfigured according to the changing requirements or for rapid redeployment at other locations.

Pure-IP manage international calling card solution for UK troops

Since April 2006 Pure IP has managed an international calling card service for the welfare department of the MOD. The Pure-IP solution was to provide a method for troops to call their family and friends at home in the UK with a local access number where the troops were stationed. To date Pure-IP has delivered this service in Gibraltar, Iraq, Cyprus, UK and Germany.
