Project Manager Customer Projects

TEAM: PROJECT MANAGEMENT | LOCATION: UK

Due to continuing growth we are seeking to hire a Project Manager (Customer projects) to join our London team. Working closely with the Account Managers, Support, and the Service Delivery functions, the Project Manager will be an integral part of customer projects from start to finish, focusing on delivering a successful outcome and a positive customer experience. With globally disperse Pure IP teams (offices in London, San Francisco, and Auckland), and even more globally disperse customers, the Project Manager will have to build strong relationships across time zones and varying cultures.

Role Objectives and Responsibilities:


  • Delivery of customer facing projects (new customer onboarding & rollout; existing customers migrations)
  • Ensure service excellence through frequent and clear customer communications
  • Manage multiple projects (implementations and/or migrations) concurrently
  • Connect and engage with customer’s project team and with Pure IP internal team (Account Managers, Service Delivery, Support)
  • Participate in customer meetings and presentations when required; lead the project kick off and project closure customer meetings
  • Along with the Account Managers, be the liaison between the customer organisation and Pure IP teams
  • Define project plans and key milestones in collaboration with the customer and internal delivery team – e.g. gather requirements, support completion of onboarding readiness assessments
  • Create project progress reports as per customer and/or Pure IP internal frequency needs
  • Promote project management practices, with the freedom to influence the customer projects lifecycle
  • Work in line with the company’s policies and procedures, whilst actively contribute to their improvement and/or development
  • Follow Pure IP’s Information Classification and Handling Policy when working with customer’s sensitive information
  • Attend all Security Awareness Training sessions, and follow company’s Security Incident Management Process to report security events

The Successful Applicant:


  • Will have successfully delivered customer facing projects
  • Will be experienced in project delivery of technology based solutions
  • Will have minimum 2 years of experience in Project Management/Project Coordination
  • Will have strong interpersonal qualities, with the ability to influence others to gain outcomes positive for the project success
  • Must have excellent presentation and formal communicational skills
  • Must feel confident leading a meeting or a conference call
  • Must be willing to go beyond their job duty and get hands on by helping their colleagues
  • Will be skilled and experienced in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Will be self-motivating to learn and improve their skills and capabilities
  • Will be highly organised, diligent, and expected to manage their time efficiently
  • Will be working autonomously, however when necessary escalating appropriately, whilst keeping the stakeholders informed

Nice to have:


  • Experience with Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, or other similar collaboration tools
  • Experience in the Telecoms industry
  • An understanding of the VoIP telecommunications
  • Formal PRINCE2 or other Project Management qualification
