Pure IP is delighted to announce that we successfully passed our Cyber Essentials certification, which forms part of our commitment to protect our business and customers from the risks of a cyber-attack.
Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed certification scheme that provides cyber security standards suitable for all organizations and sectors. The scheme addresses five key controls that, when implemented correctly, can prevent around 80% of cyber-attacks.
The five basic controls within Cyber Essentials were chosen because, when properly implemented, they will help to protect against internet-based attack. The five controls are:
- Boundary firewalls and internet gateways
- Secure configuration
- Access control
- Malware protection
- Patch management
Speaking of this latest achievement, Gary Forrest, CEO of Pure IP said, “Cyber security is a topic we take very seriously and is of paramount importance in protecting both our own business and that of our customers. Pure IP prides itself on taking a proactive approach to security and this latest certification is a reflection of that commitment. Security rightly remains a hot topic within the industry and with our customers, and it is important that we constantly remain vigilant to the ever-changing threats. Our security processes are continually monitored and reviewed to ensure they are effective and current which fills our customers with the confidence that we are a trusted provider.”
