A new era for Pure IP as BCM Acquisition completes

It’s a new era for Pure IP as we officially join the BCM One family. And as we start this new chapter, it’s very much a case of business as usual, with our focus remaining on providing the same superior enterprise voice solutions that we’re known for. The move signifies an exciting development for both companies, offering our combined customer base new opportunities to tap into a blended portfolio of products and service. 

In this blog, we’ll introduce BCM One and explain what the acquisition means for you.

Who is BCM One?

Founded in 1992, BCM One is a New York, NY based provider of NextGen Communications and Managed Services for IT leaders of mid-to-enterprise level businesses. They also have a large reseller network, serving over 5,000 channel partners and 20,000+ customers worldwide.

The beating heart of BCM One is their company culture with the original founders of the company still actively involved serving on the Board of Directors and acting as investors. Their professional team is comprised of legacy BCM One employees with 10-15 years of tenure, and telecom professionals from their various acquisitions.  

BCM One is backed by Thompson Street Capital Partners, a St. Louis based private equity firm. Pure IP marks BCM One’s ninth acquisition and is a significant step forward in solidifying their position as a global leader in voice solutions.    

Why has BCM One acquired Pure IP?

With PSTN replacement services in 47 countries, and flexible solutions in 137, this acquisition strengthens BCM One’s position as a managed services provider with a global presence. And with offices in the UK, USA and New Zealand, Pure IP’s international team gives BCM One an international footprint, with the ability to connect with a worldwide customer base. 

Of interest to BCM One, was Pure IP’s agnostic approach to voice services, with impressive credentials delivering Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex and Zoom. As part of the acquisition, BCM One will now offer the same services to their existing customer base and focus on growing the offering on an international scale. 

Explaining the importance of Pure IP to their existing portfolio, BCM One CEO Geoff Bloss said: 

“Pure IP’s expertise migrating enterprise customers from PBX and UCaaS platforms to next-generation platforms including Microsoft Teams, Cisco and Zoom are a perfect complement to the BCM One portfolio. Additionally, Pure IP’s international footprint enables us to extend our platform of services to customers worldwide.”

What does it mean for customers?

For existing customers of both Pure IP and BCM One, the acquisition will not bring about any drastic changes or disruptions. Both companies have a shared commitment to customer satisfaction and ensuring a seamless transition. 

Pure IP customers can expect the same access to reliable voice solutions, superior customer support and innovative solutions. An added bonus is in the extension of BCM One’s product and services portfolio and a large channel partner ecosystem for interested partners.
