Guaranteed delivery for every inbound call

Hypernetwork provides an extra layer of protection around your inbound DIDs, so calls keep coming in even when parts of the public phone network fail. It uses more than one underlying carrier for delivery, so if one path has an outage or severe degradation traffic can shift to another route.  For any number that is critical to revenue, safety, or customer experience this resilience is a big reduction in risk.

No other provider offers this level of carrier failover for inbound numbers. Most carriers rely on a single underlying network for each DID, which means a carrier outage can still block calls even if your own systems are healthy. Pure IP’s approach is different because it uses multiple carrier paths for the same number and can move traffic when one route fails. There is no other widely available alternative that delivers the same level of inbound continuity on a single service. 

From your side it behaves like another highly available PSTN path into the same voice platform you already use. Your SBC or SIP PBX still speaks standard SIP and still terminates calls from Pure IP as it does today. The additional resilience is handled in the network and in our carrier relationships rather than in your Teams tenant or PBX configuration. That means you gain extra protection for inbound calls without having to redesign your voice environment.  

You nominate the critical DIDs and Pure IP migrates or provisions them into the resilient inbound service, then points them at your existing trunks and SBCs. Your users keep the same numbers and call flows so there is no retraining or change for end users. Your operations team gains more control over routing targets and failover options, while the carrier switching happens behind the scenes. 

Standard high availability protects you against failures on your own side such as SBC issues, data center outages, or a single SIP connection problem. Hypernetwork tackles a different failure mode when the upstream PSTN carrier that is supposed to deliver the call is having an outage or serious quality issue. Without this layer you often have to wait or start an emergency port which can take time and create disruption. With it the number can be moved to an alternate route quickly so customers and staff can still reach you.

The strongest benefit today is for geographic numbers in regions where Pure IP has built out multi carrier routing for inbound traffic, particularly for high volume and mission critical US numbers. Multinational organizations can use this as an extra layer for key US contact points while continuing to rely on Pure IP’s global SBC footprint and local partners in other countries. That means your most important service desk lines, sales numbers, and head office lines in those covered regions gain carrier diversity. Elsewhere you lean on Pure IP’s normal geo redundant design together with your own disaster recovery strategy.

Carrier resilient inbound service is an additional capability within Pure IP’s portfolio, usually applied to a subset of high value numbers rather than every line. Commercially you and your Pure IP account team agree which numbers justify this protection and how it fits into your existing voice agreement so you avoid paying twice for overlapping services. Operationally you monitor one more resilience layer and include it in your incident plans, but you continue to work with the same provider and support teams. The trade off is a modest increase in design and commercial planning in return for a significant reduction in the chance that critical inbound calls fail to reach you.
